Sometimes things happen that reinforce the importance of a conversation being continued.
We acknowledge that some pain experienced by our women oftentines may not look graceful.
Sometimes the pain we feel is voiced as frustration, withdrawal, or what we too quickly label as “too much.”
And maybe what we needed wasn’t distance or avoidance … maybe all that was needed is deeper understanding.
And we are here for it....

The Narcissism Mirror: Learned Patterns, Chosen Paths

As we move through it and grow, we are influenced — sometimes gently, sometimes forcefully — by our environments. We are taught, directly and indirectly, how to protect ourselves, how to get our needs met, and how to survive emotionally. And in that process, we can become stained by both accidental and intentional forces: manipulation, emotional blackmail, neglect, inconsistency, and control....

This is what TheBeyondWoman has always been about — creating something Caribbean women can see themselves in. A space where stories spark conversation, ideas become action, and one generation reminds the next that there is room for her voice too.

Because sometimes all it takes is one moment, one page, one conversation… to remind a woman that what she carries is worth building, sharing, and becoming.

We’re not just publishing a magazine.
We’re documenting possibility for the women coming after us.

What started as a vision to create space for Caribbean women to be seen, heard, and empowered has grown into a platform featuring leading women across the region, author spotlights, business showcases, and powerful contributions that reflect the heart of our Caribbean community.

We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come.
After taking intentional time to regroup and realign, we’re preparing for Issue 24 — and the second half of 2026 will bring fresh conversations, deeper impact, and exciting new ways to serve you.
