We avoid talking about death.
We avoid talking about illness.
We avoid talking about what happens if life suddenly changes.

Yet avoiding those conversations doesn’t stop life from happening. In this conversation we’re exploring something that affects every woman regardless of her age, income, career, or family situation: Financial Protection.

Some days I find myself longing for the quiet rhythms of growing up in the Caribbean. The porch conversations. The neighbors. The sense of community. The presence.

We've gained so much through technology and progress, but have we lost something too?

This reflection explores what I believe to be our collective longing for simplicity and asks whether peace is something we can intentionally rebuild in a world that never seems to stop.

Sometimes things happen that reinforce the importance of a conversation being continued.
We acknowledge that some pain experienced by our women oftentines may not look graceful.
Sometimes the pain we feel is voiced as frustration, withdrawal, or what we too quickly label as “too much.”
And maybe what we needed wasn’t distance or avoidance … maybe all that was needed is deeper understanding.
And we are here for it....
