Welcome home!🥰🚌

Deacon Roger is such a blessing. He drives my mom safely to and from Salem Union Baptist Church every Sunday and Wednesday. Some may wonder why I let her go without me, but I believe it is important for her to live her life with a level independence and her church family looks after her and the other seniors.

Of course, we have our little safety measures in place: her AirTag necklace, Alzheimer’s ID bracelet with her name and contact information, and extra AirTags on all her bags.

For those of us caring for loved ones, sometimes the goal is not to keep them from doing things. It is to help them keep doing the things they love, as safely as possible.❤️

Bay Street businesses shut down. Tourists taking their money back home with them. Elderly people at daycare, including my mom, hot and uncomfortable. Nearby restaurant reservations canceled. Nothing new really. Just another day in “Nassau is the capital, Bahamas!”. Sigh. We deserve better.

Car seats and seatbelts save lives. Stop taking chances‼️ Please make time to read what I wrote about road safety for our children. (Link in the caption.)

DM me if you have a pre-owned car seat in good condition to donate to someone who can’t afford one.

Slow down, buckle up and get home safely, Bahamas. 🚗🇧🇸

A drunk person cannot give consent. Period.‼️

If someone is too to understand what is happening, make decisions, or say yes clearly, they cannot to s*x.

Do not take advantage of someone who is intoxicated. That is *xualassault.

We need to teach this clearly, talk about it openly, and stop blaming victims for someone else’s decision to violate them.

No one deserves to be ***d. Ever.

Give God the heavy stuff this week. Don’t carry it by yourself. Remember, His yoke is easy, and His burden is light.

While you’re at it, check on somebody. You never know who may be carrying something heavy too.

Have a blessed week. 🙏🏾🇧🇸

Those alleged voice notes make me sick to my stomach. I keep telling myself it has to be AI because how could someone be so disgusting, inhumane, and pleased with his vile behaviour. He’s literally boasting. And to his mom. No way. This can’t be real.

If it was up to me, oxygen would not be distributed in equal supply. Thank God I’m not God.

God can blow our minds!🧠

We all have struggles, needs, things we are praying about, waiting on and trying to figure out, but let’s never forget how BIG our God is.

What feels impossible to us is not impossible for Him. He can do exceedingly, abundantly more than we could ever ask or imagine.

So whatever you are facing today, breathe, pray and trust Him. Keep believing. Stand in faith. Remember who you serve.🙏🏾

Friday with my favourite person, after a long day and late lunch. ❤️ Good food, ocean views, planes landing, takeout for Rachel, and Rico in his t-shirt … 🙄😂 At the end of the day, it’s just us, enjoying each other and being ourselves. (and me deciding to make a reel lol)🥰

Throwback! ❤️📖I guess my love for started early. From solving crossword puzzles with my beloved papa to a lifelong passion for reading, , and communication, some things never change. I still do word searches in my downtime but I don’t get prizes from the Tribune News Network nor Super Value & Quality Supermarkets anymore.👀
