Selah Moonie & The Liberation Village is a Nassau, Bahamas-based band blending jazz, progressive R&B, hip-hop, and funky Bahamian Goombay rhythms and harmonies into a genre-defying sound while remaining uniquely Bahamian.

Formed by Selah ‘Moonie’ Poitier, alongside Cyril “CyranoKeys” Thompson (piano), Mansa Campbell (Trumpet), Sean Cunningham (drums/trombone), Zaavan Colebrooke (percussion), and Kaleb Poitier (drums), the group evolved from Selah’s passion for authentic art and musical expression honing their craft/sound into what it is today.

Each member has a rich musical background, with co-signs from artists like Grammy-Award winners Jon Batiste, George Clinton & The Parliament Funkadelic, Bootsy Collins, Dianne Reeves, India Arie, Sheila E. (highlighted Kaleb at only age 11), Cimafunk and more. Together, Selah Moonie & The Liberation Village channels a powerful energy that inspires audiences to be free, and always stay true to their authentic selves— to “Live Liberated.”

Their highly-anticipated album project debuts this summer. -
