We are overjoyed and humbled to share that two Bhutanese films have made it to the major competition categories at the prestigious Osaka Asian International Film Festival, JAPAN, 2025!
ZAMPA…THE BRIDGE — World Premiere in the Spotlight Section Competition
I THE SONG — In competition for the Grand Prix Feature Category
This marks the first time ever that two Bhutanese films stand tall together on such a prominent global stage — a proud and emotional moment for all of us.

Led by award-winning filmmaker R.C. Chand and supported by BIGMA, Art for People blends technical filmmaking education with Bhutan’s rich cultural storytelling.

Today we kicked off the first ever government sponsored Art for People program in Bhutan, led by award winning international faculty bringing their expertise to our cohort of 35 young people. Over the next 10 days, we will be shaping the soul of Bhutanese cinema and engaging in hands on workshops with a final presentation at the end.
