In celebration of the 78th Independence Day of India, uncover the vibrant life of “Ancient Indian Cities”🇮🇳 by Odd Compass. Join us as we bring history to life and reveal the rich tapestry of Ancient India. Airing on 15 August at 7:00 PM.

And, embark on a unique programme from Colokal Rides; a motorcycle tour travel agency based in India 🏍️ In this episode titled “Mystique Bhutan,” they bring in a group of Filipino riders to Bhutan! Airing on 20 August at 7:30 PM.

Gain transformative insights from the 5th International Meditation Conference hosted by the Centre for Bhutan and GNH Studies 🧘‍♂️ Join meditation masters, philosophers, and scientists from across the globe as they share their knowledge on topics such as Mindfulness, Meditation, and Indigenous wisdom💡 Airing on 25 August at 7:00 PM.

3 August 2025: Their Royal Highnesses Gyalsey Jigme Namgyel and Gyalsey Ugyen Wangchuck graced a basketball showcase which included an exhibition match featuring NBA stars and the Bhutan National Basketball team at Jungzhina Multipurpose Complex today.

The exhibition match was part of Hoops For Happiness—a special coaching programme organized by the Bhutan Olympic Committee and the Bhutan Basketball Federation, in collaboration with the US professional basketball league, the NBA.

As part of the programme, NBA stars Mason Plumlee, Justin Holiday, Jonathan Isaac, and AJ Green are in Bhutan to engage with youth and promote the sport through clinics and mentoring sessions.

A Youth Basketball League for younger players was also inaugurated alongside the exhibition match.

The NBA delegation has been holding coaching and showcase events in Paro and Thimphu, and interacting with young Bhutanese basketball fans.

30 July 2025: His Majesty The King conferred the red scarf to Gub Gado Tshering, Changap to His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, at Tashichhodzong today.

Dasho Gado Tshering, from Wangchang Paro, was among the schoolmates of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo at Ugyen Wangchuck Academy in Paro.

Since joining service in 1974 as Changap to His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, Dasho Gado Tshering has dedicated over 50 years in service to His Majesty, and continues to serve to this day.

He was awarded the Druk Thuksey Medal by His Majesty The King in 2012.
