The Yangchenphug family came together to celebrate and honour the well-deserved promotion of eleven teachers, recognising their dedicated service, perseverance, and valuable contributions to the school.
For each recipient, this milestone carries its own story of growth, hard work, commitment, and dedication to the noble profession of teaching. The celebration was a heartfelt expression of appreciation as the School Management, teaching and non-teaching staff, and student leaders came together to offer Dhar and extended their warmest congratulations.
The recipients expressed their deep gratitude for the love, respect, encouragement, and unwavering support received from the Yangchenphug family.
More than a celebration of promotion, it is a beautiful reminder of the strength of togetherness, the importance of recognising one another, and the joy of celebrating each other’s achievements.
The ocassion meant to be so meaningful and special. 🙏

𝑃𝑖𝑐𝑘𝑙𝑒𝑏𝑎𝑙𝑙, 𝐴 𝑁𝑒𝑤 𝑆𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡

𝟭𝟭/𝟬𝟴/𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Metazone Sports from Singapore, in collaboration with the Tarayana Foundation and facilitated through the Ministry of Education and Skills Development,students of YHSS were introduced to pickleball.Officially it is known as Druka Game in Bhutan.

The students enthusiastically embraced this new sport, which promotes agility, coordination, quick reflexes ,and teamwork. More than just a game, the experience encouraged them to step beyond their comfort zones to explore something different and discover new possibilities.

Heartfelt appreciation to Metazone Sports, Tarayana Foundation, and the Ministry of Education and Skills Development for providing our students with this meaningful and refreshing sporting experience.

The school sport committee was grateful and happy to host the game.

𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦

𝟬𝟵/𝟬𝟴/𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Yangchenphug Higher Secondary School hosted a two day Film Literacy Program conducted by SAMUH. The program brought together students from Motithang Higher Secondary School, Khasadrapchu Middle Secondary School, Wangbama Central School, Dr. Tobgyel School , and Yangchenphug Higher Secondary School. Students were divided into different groups to help them adapt to new environments and learn to work collaboratively with students from other schools.

During the program, students received a short presentation on the basics of filmmaking, including the process of creating a film. They then applied what they had learned by working together to create their own short films, allowing them to gain practical experience and develop their creativity and teamwork skills.

𝟬𝟳/𝟬𝟴/𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Yangchenphug Higher Secondary School successfully conducted the Second Term Parent–Teacher Meeting (PTM), bringing together parents and teachers to strengthen their partnership in supporting students' holistic development. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss students' academic progress, behaviour, and overall well-being while encouraging parents to play an active role in supporting learning at home.

Teachers also updated parents on the school's educational policies, ongoing initiatives, and expectations for the term. Meaningful discussions focused on promoting positive behaviour, reducing misconduct, and identifying ways to further improve students' academic performance through close collaboration between the school and families.

The school sincerely appreciates the valuable participation and continued support of all parents in working together to nurture responsible, confident, and successful learners.

𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑯𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈-𝑻𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔

𝟬𝟰/𝟬𝟴/𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

With prior approval from the Officiating Principal, the official handing-taking ceremony of responsibilities from the School Councillors to the School Vice Councillors was conducted today after school at the conference Hall.

The program was held in the presence of Vice Principal Mr. Samdrup Wangdi, SLT teacher members, and the Vice Councillors. During the ceremony, the School Councillor Boy delivered a brief speech highlighting the roles and responsibilities of a School Councillor. He emphasized that the transfer of responsibilities does not signify the complete withdrawal of the School Councillors from school affairs; rather, they will continue to extend their guidance, support, and assistance whenever required.

Effective from 4th August 2026, the responsibilities entrusted to the School Councillors will be formally carried forward by the School Vice Councillors. This transition marks an important step in ensuring the continuity of student leadership and in nurturing responsible future leaders of Yangchenphug.

The School Councillors express their sincere gratitude to the School Management, teachers, and fellow councillors for their unwavering support and cooperation throughout their tenure, and place full confidence in the School Vice Councillors to uphold the values, discipline, and traditions of the school with dedication and integrity.
