Meet Khenpo Tenzin Thinley, a true embodiment of faith, resilience, and devotion. As a young boy, Khempo dreamt of becoming a monk, but life in the village had other plans. As the eldest sibling, Khenpo spent his childhood looking after younger siblings,cows and working on the farm instead of joining the monastery.
But deep inside, his dream never faded. At 18, with unwavering determination, Khenpo left home secretly and came to Thimphu, where Khenpo worked as a hotel cook, cleaner, and waiter. Life was tough , until one day, Khempo crossed paths with KHENPO JANGSEM TASHI, who guided him back to his spiritual path through a month-long Drolma recitation.
With just Nu. 3,500 and endless faith, Khenpo Tenzin Thinley finally set foot in MYSORE, where his true monastic journey began.
Today,he is a respected Khenpo, upholding rare vows and tirelessly working for the benefit of all sentient beings. From constructing Druk Menjong Goma Sala chortens to preserving sacred teachings, Khempo is a beacon of hope, compassion, and peace.
