As of September 2026, President Duma Boko has been in office for almost two years since the October 2024 election. There are several things his government says it has delivered, but many of the larger promises are still works in progress.
What Boko's government has actually done so far
Old-age pension increased by 68%, according to the government's first-year report.
Brigade/TVET student allowances were substantially increased, from P300 to P1,900.
Introduced a 50% water-bill amnesty, providing financial relief to households.
Government says it has accumulated P6.1 billion in national savings, compared with P300 million in 2024, although this is a government-reported figure and should be distinguished from an independent assessment.
Government reports P2.73 billion in cumulative savings from cost-containment measures since August 2025.
BURS collections increased 5.4% in the first quarter of the 2026/27 financial year, according to government figures.
408 modern homes were delivered to the BDF as part of a welfare programme.
Government has begun work toward economic diversification, including agriculture, manufacturing and energy projects. A 500MW Maun solar project broke ground in April 2026.
The government says it is working on constitutional and institutional reforms, including establishing a Constitutional Court and reviewing the Constitution.
On healthcare, government says it approved 300 additional nurses and reported improved availability of critical medicines, while acknowledging continuing supply problems.
