My Star Botswana - Music Talent Show

Sharon Sibonge joined the My Star TV show in 2012 during Season 6, where she emerged victorious, winning a P100,000 cash prize and a recording deal. As part of her prize package, she travelled to the UK and recorded a six-track album. Her success catapulted her into the spotlight, making her a household name in the local music scene.

In 2016, she returned to the My Star stage for the “Best of the Best” competition, held in celebration of the show's 10th anniversary. The special edition brought back top 10 contestants from past seasons to compete for a winner-takes-all prize. Sharon delivered a strong performance and finished in the top 5.

She continued her musical journey both as a solo artist and as a backing vocalist, collaborating with some of Botswana’s biggest names, including Banjo Mosele.

Sharon will be greatly missed in the Botswana music circles. May her soul rest in peace.
