Let us show you the man behind Film Garden — the visionary who started it all.
Meet Keoagile Tshepo Tshekiso — the writer, director and filmmaker behind Film Garden stories.
Keoagile grew up in Old Naledi, Zola. His journey in the entertainment industry began when he was just 8 years old as a dancer and musician.
In 2009, he joined Rutang Sechaba Community Theatre, where he polished his acting skills.
By 2012, he was part of the Makgabane TV drama (Mareledi), playing the character DT "Ditiro".
🎭 “During my acting career, I would go to auditions and see passionate actors with great potential being turned away. I told myself — if these actors were given a chance to learn and gain experience, they could become great.”
That thought became the foundation of Film Garden— a platform to train, develop, and create opportunities for actors and filmmakers in Botswana.

In 2015, Film Garden was born — and 10 years later, the dream continues to grow.

One of our young talents joined our acting classes at just 8 years old. Since then, she has grown into an inspiring actress, achieving incredible milestones. She has featured in projects with Botswood, appeared in an advert alongside former President of Botswana Mokgweetsi Masisi and the First Lady, and is now part of the cast in upcoming Botswana films set to premiere on Mzansi Magic.

Her journey is proof that starting young, with the right training and opportunities, can open doors to greatness.
