LOCAL CREATIVES PUSH WORLD RELAYS 2026 HYPE

Lebogang Lentle, popularly known as DJ LebGee, has teamed up with HEY nyeenaah to build excitement ahead of the upcoming World Athletics Relays 2026.

Taking to Facebook, LebGee shared that the initiative is aimed at mobilising the public and showing strong support for Botswana’s athletes, saying:

“So HEY nyeenaah woke up and decided we are not going to wait around for the athletics committee to do something…
We are going to make our athletes proud the same way they always make us proud.
So let’s join in the movement guys…”

The movement is also set to include plans for a community marathon, designed to boost hype around the event and encourage participation from everyday supporters.

📌 In addition, Nyenaah has urged that on Friday at 8am, people should change their profile pictures to the Botswana Relay Team, as a show of unity and national support ahead of the games.

The initiative is expected to play a key role in building grassroots excitement and strengthening local engagement as Botswana counts down to the 2026 World Athletics Relays. 🇧🇼✨

IT IS TIME ⏱️

All roads lead to Notwane Grounds.

A march will proceed to Parliament, a call for justice for a life lost too soon.

Today, we stand in solidarity.
Today, we stand in unison.

For Tshepi.
For every child unheard.
For every story untold.

This is not just about one child.
It is about the many… the silent… the forgotten.

Let this be a moment where voices rise louder than silence.
Where we choose protection over neglect.
Where we demand better, for every child.

🕊️ Justice for Tshepi. Justice for all children.
