: The Botswana Football League (BFL) shareholders meeting has ended abruptly after some members passed a vote of no confidence on the Sipho Showa-led board.
However, there was contention regarding the absence of a clause that allows for a motion of no confidence.
The motion of no confidence came after it emerged that the BFL was technically insolvent as it is more than P3.6 million in the red.
Following a stalemate over the meeting's power to remove the board, the meeting ended and the issue is expected to be referred to the Botswana Football Association tribunal for resolution.
