E-gaming has rapidly evolved into a multi-billion-dollar global industry, featuring professional players, organized leagues, major brand sponsorships, and a massive international fanbase that rivals traditional sports. Botswana’s gaming community is now catching this momentum and Orange Botswana is at the forefront of that movement.
Tebogo Nadisah, Orange Botswana’s Communications and PR Manager, said the brand is committed to nurturing e-gaming in Botswana and positioning it as a key part of youth development and digital innovation.
“E-gaming is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, and we want Botswana to be part of that global story. Through this tournament, we’re giving university students a platform to compete, connect, and showcase their talent,” said Nadisah.
She added that Orange Botswana sees gaming as a new frontier for creativity and technology.
“This is more than just a competition, it’s about empowering the youth and driving digital inclusion. We’re proud to support a space where innovation and entertainment meet,” she said.
Earlier this year, in May 2025, Orange Botswana sponsored another major e-gaming event through their gaming partners Gaming with Remmogo and Hocco, further cementing its role as a champion for the growth of digital culture and competitive gaming in Botswana.
Beyond e-sports, the company continues to be a major supporter of national sports, having sponsored various sporting codes, from the Mares to the Botswana National Relay Team.
“Whether it’s on the track, on the field, or in front of a console, Orange Botswana is committed to developing sporting talent across all disciplines,” Nadisah emphasized. “We believe in investing in passion, skill, and the future of Botswana’s youth.”
With the Orange EA Sports FC 26 Tournament set to kick off this Saturday, 8 November 2025, at Game City Rooftop, excitement is at an all-time high. The stage is set for an unforgettable university e-gaming battle , one that could launch Botswana’s next gaming champion onto the world stage.
