Apollo D(formerly Apollo Diablo)
Legendary hiphop artist from the Southern African country of Botswana. Worked with the most prominent hiphop acts of his generation including HHP and Towdee of Morafe as well as featuring on South Africas first platinum selling hiphop album, Pitch Black Afro’s Styling Gel. Widely regarded in Botswana as the pioneer of iKalanga language hiphop. Three studio albums, several mixtape nearly 20 top singles, solo singles or collaborations. Apollo D remains an icon in his home country of Botswana. He is also the first and only rap artist in Botswana to present and produce an entire hiphop magazine show ‘The Foundation’, doing five seasons with continental tv giant ETV’s Botswana subsidiary eBotswana.
The verteran artist is also passionate about talent development and social issues, over the years collaborating with local NGO’s Men and Boys for Gender Equality, YOHO, Young 1ove to use music as a vehicle for positive social change.
