Misery Index live at Obscene Extreme Festival 2025 in Trutnov, Czech Republic in July this year. This publication witnessed their great performance live in Czech Republic.

Misery Index is an American death metal/grindcore band from Baltimore, formed in 2001 by ex-Dying Fetus members. Known for their brutal sound and politically charged lyrics, they’ve released acclaimed albums like Traitors, The Killing Gods and Complete Control. With relentless energy and worldwide tours, Misery Index stands as one of extreme metal’s most uncompromising voices. Misery Index has toured extensively worldwide, sharing stages with bands like Na**lm Death, Cannibal Co**se and Behemoth. They are respected as torchbearers of politically aware extreme music, combining brutal soundscapes with thought-provoking commentary.

CHECK Sedimo LIVE IN SEROWE LAST WEEKEND IN THEIR PREPARATION FOR THE COMING Palapye ROCK BLAZE Festival scheduled for this coming Saturday 27th September 2025 at Oasis of Sanity Farm.

Sedimo is a Tswana/Botswana-style Metalcore band, a powerful collaboration of artists from different local bands, including Cachari Cochize Mocuminyane, Husain M**h Alah Amad and Rokara. This project was created as a part-time initiative to keep the fire of metal burning during times when other bands are not active, engaged elsewhere or taking a break from shows. That’s when Sedimo steps in to carry the torch and keep the scene alive. Because of its collaborative nature, Sedimo works mostly as a digital project, ensuring it doesn’t overshadow or take away from the members’ main bands while still delivering a unique and energetic sound.

REST IN PEACE TOMAS "TOMPA" LINDBERG
(1972 - 2025)

The global metal community is mourning the loss of Tomas "Tompa" Lindberg, iconic frontman of Gothenburg’s melodic death metal pioneers At The Gates. Lindberg, whose raw yet deeply expressive vocals helped define a genre, passed away yesterday morning following complications from cancer treatment. Born in 1972, Lindberg became one of the most influential figures in metal, his voice and presence shaping the sound of Swedish death metal and inspiring countless musicians worldwide. Beyond the stage, he was remembered as a compassionate friend, generous with his time and unwavering in his creative spirit.
Though his battle with illness ended too soon, his legacy will live on through the music and the countless lives he touched. Tomas Lindberg will forever remain in the heart of the metal world.
