HIRSCHFELD TO BE BURIED ON TUESDAY

President Duma Boko today was among mourners at the memorial service of the founding Commissioner of Botswana Police, Simon Hirschfeld, that took place in Mogoditshane. He is due to be buried on Tuesday. Meanwhile, all Botswana police flags are flying at half mast across the country.

Lorolwane Primary Benefits from 1,000-Book Handover

Lorolwane Primary School in Southern District on Thursday received a donation of 1,000 books through a collaboration between Brainpower Trust and the AGA Isago Development and Empowerment Foundation, a move aimed at promoting a culture of reading and improving literacy among learners.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Brand Ambassador Ame Motubudi urged pupils to make reading a daily habit, describing books as powerful tools for learning, personal growth and future success.

Delivering the vote of thanks, Deputy Principal Mrs Matlho welcomed the donation and highlighted the critical role reading plays in academic achievement and lifelong development
She expressed appreciation to the two organisations for their support and extended special gratitude to President Duma Boko for his contribution towards the initiative.

The donation is expected to enhance access to reading materials and support literacy development at the school.
