On June 4, 2026, in Goshwe village, Tutume District, Tutume Water Utilities Corporation (WUC), in association with a non-profit organisation, Goshwe Association of the Needs, donated a water standpipe to the children of the late Makgarebe Morgan.

The General Manager of Tutume WUC, Abraham Malale, said the donation was made possible through contributions from employees as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

He encouraged the children to take proper care of the standpipe and ensure that water bills are paid on time.

Goshwe Association of the Needs Chairperson, Unami Mokhwe, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Water Utilities Corporation for the donation.

Nominated Councillor in Tutume District, Merinah Kubela, also thanked the Tutume WUC management and employees for giving back to the community.

Councillor Hon. Oliver Nyatseng (Nkangeโ€“Changate) has raised concerns over the lack of shelter for public transport users from Senete, Changate, Nkange, Dagwi, and Maitengwe at the Tutume bus rank.

He noted that he had previously tabled a motion in council seeking assistance to provide shelter for the public transport passengers, but no action has been taken to date.

The councillor further called on fellow councillors to join hands and consider making contributions towards the construction of shelter for the passengers, citing that they continue to suffer during rainy weather and under the scorching heat
