ances - from hypnotic chill-rave to mathematical techno with sounds of symphony orchestra, from subtle jazz-hop to shaking ethno-bass, from mesmerizing folktronics to powerful organic house and melodic techno. For his listeners, Papa Bo always prepares very atypical selection, a lot of intelligent sounding and fat groove part. All music diversity, he richly spices with ethnic motifs of exotic cultures. Papa Bo Selektah (Alexander Bogdanov) is also known as the organizer of the largest club events and festivals in Belarus, the producer of famous Belarusian musical groups, the creator and permanent head of the BOpromo concert agency, co-founder and art director of the Minsk cultural center Korpus. After participating with mobile sound-system in the peaceful protests of 2020 in Belarus (https://youtu.be/lPA0zKRBlk8) and the ensuing criminal prosecution, he was forced to move to Tbilisi.

This summer I threw myself into a wild adventure by Bassota — a 49-hour birthday marathon with 49 DJs non-stop.
My slot was at 5 a.m. Rainy sunrise. Homeless people settling to sleep under the bridge, freaks and night wanderers around, the exhausted Bassota crew, and a couple of friends who came just for my set.
And still — it was pure magic. The bass trembling through the body, the city breathing, the music holding everything together.

Paradoxically, I play the least right here in Warsaw.
Fewer invites, fewer open parties for the folks who actually dig what I do — even though it’s a massive city, full of opportunities.

In 2020, I played on the streets of Minsk — back then, it was about freedom and solidarity.
Now it’s the streets of Poznań, but the meaning hasn’t changed.
The music is still about people, about movement, about how a city can carry the Belarusian flow.

Together with KUT_Fundacja, we recorded “MAPA marching DJ-set” —
a street performance based on the route of the MAPA of Belarusian places in Poznań.
It’s not about form — it’s about presence.

Exclusive drop for my loyal (though few) Patrons 🌞🎶

On September 21 I went to Poznań to take part in a wild urban experiment by the KUT_Fundacja. Turns out there are plenty of Belarusian and Belarus-friendly spots in the city, so the local crew suggested we take my legendary mobile sound system on a tour — straight through downtown.

It was the last hot day of autumn: 29°C, full sun, good vibes. We tried to film a full video DJ set, but the front cam kept overheating every 3–5 minutes, and in the end the tablet crashed as well.
Still — we made it happen. We recorded everything. It was sweaty, joyful, chaotic and beautiful.

🎥 The video is now being edited and will soon be out on YouTube. Patreon supporters will see it one week earlier.
