In 2016, a young woman underwent surgery to remove fibroids. In 2022, she began experiencing excruciating pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and dramatic weight loss. After being dismissed by her original surgeon, she sought help elsewhere—and the shocking truth was revealed: a surgical gauze left inside her body slowly grew into a five-pound mass. It had fused to her colon, which had to be partially removed.
