Normal people: “Here’s my favorite photos of my dog.” 🥹

🪨 Tank swallowing a 4 cm rock… before he was even my dog. (Yep, I took those X-rays. Apparently it was fate.)
🍖 Tex turning 12 lbs of kibble into an all-you-can-eat buffet… followed by 30+ sh*ts in 24 hours because apparently that’s a thing.

I swear my own dogs are just committed to keeping me employed. 🤡

I don’t own the clinic’s $60,000 X-ray machine… but my dogs have definitely gotten their money’s worth.

PSA from your friendly vet med girl: This is exactly why I preach pet insurance. Every single one of these “well… that wasn’t on today’s bingo card” moments was covered, and my bank account is forever grateful. 😂🐾

also, yes, I am still alive! Trying to manage full-time work, wedding season, online school, a house of broken animals, and sleeping - all at the same time!

Home is never just walls and a roof — it’s the paw prints on the floors, the muddy mornings, the late-night laughs, the quiet moments, and the memories built day by day. Today we said goodbye to the little house that held the last two years of our lives. Our first home together, the place where so much of us began. 🤍🐾

Bittersweet doesn’t even begin to cover it. Leaving a place that carried so many memories with our animals and our everyday life is hard… but sometimes the hardest goodbyes come before the most beautiful new beginnings.

We are so excited to share that we’ve taken a huge step and will hopefully be purchasing a home of our own. 🏡✨ With that, we’ve officially left the Fraser Valley and have made the move up to the Cariboo region. A new chapter, new scenery, new adventures, and so much to come.

I also start a new job next week in mixed animal practice, which feels like another dream unfolding at the same time. 🐴🐶🐮

Big changes are here, and even more are on the way. Thank you to everyone who’s been part of our journey so far. Stay tuned for this next wild and wonderful chapter. 🌿🤎

Not all reactive dogs are loud. Sometimes it’s a dog who’s so scared of the world… he just shuts down. That’s Tank. No barking, no lunging—just freeze, shake, hide, and internalize everything. In vet med, we see anxiety all the time, but when it’s your own dog living in it 24/7, it hits different.

After his heart diagnosis, it really clicked—this isn’t just behavioral. Chronic stress affects their whole body. So when “as needed” meds turned into basically every day… we made the call for daily anxiety meds. Twins 💊🙂 And honestly? I’m finally seeing progress. He’s softer, braver, actually trying.

But because nothing is ever simple, he also gained a ton of weight out of nowhere, and now we’re working through suspected hypothyroidism too. So yeah—he’s on a few meds. Not to “fix” him, just to make the world feel a little less scary. And that matters more than anything. 🤍
