A formal dispute-resolution system under the Canada Grocery Code of Conduct came into effect Jan. 1, giving participating grocery retailers, suppliers and distributors access to a defined mediation and adjudication process that may, in limited circumstances, result in public notices when breaches of the Code are confirmed.
