In honour of my Ruby and her favourite passtime, I present you with the next book my dog would write.

Ruby has not only enjoyed chasing squirrels, but she's caught a few too. 🤦‍♀️ She even found a deceased, decomposing one and rolled in it... twice. And let me tell you, that was the most foul smell I have ever smelled, but it brought her a lot of joy. 😂

Our girl deteriorated a lot overnight, so we know we need to make the hard decision we've been dreading. Oh, how I wish she could go back to her squirrel-hunting days. Maybe not the squirrel-catching ones, but I'd take it. 😪

Does your dog chase other creatures?
If so, Ruby says she hopes they catch one for her.

(As for her pen name, garnet is not only another red stone, like a ruby, but Ruby was born in January, so garnet is her birthstone.)

Enjoying the nice weather before the storm hits tomorrow. Tornado warnings mean a lot of prep work around here. I have about an hour to squeeze in some writing, but I keep getting distracted to tend to the dogs.

Our old dog Ruby is fading fast, so we're trying to spoil her and enjoy every moment while we still can. So if I'm not okay by the end of the week, that's why. 😭

I have this terrible habit of coming up with new book ideas and designing covers for books instead of focusing on writing the ones I have in the works.

Since I have over 40 WIPs, my brain said, "Why not make covers for your dogs?"

So here we are.

Ghost is a big (angel) boy. He's around 110lbs, and he's not even 9 months old yet. Safe to say, there's not much he can't reach. He can also open cupboards and the front door. 😂 He's mastered how to open the treat drawer, so he immediately goes to help himself when he goes potty outside. The man knows what he wants, so he's basically training himself now.

I will admit, I've never seen this show. I'm not a TV watcher, so these comparisons are lost on me. 😂 However, I trust my readers, and several have told me Con Artist reminded them of White Collar.
So, if White Collar is your kind of show, Con Artist might be your kind of book! If you like sweet but not spicy, stupid puns and bad jokes, eagles, cat allergies 🤔, and sporting events, you'll really love this one.

QOTD: If you were to pick up a book based on any TV show, which one would it be?

Normally, we see books turned into film, but if you went the other way, which show would you love to see inspire a book?

vibes.

Every time I post about this book, I feel it needs fair warning that it's not for everyone. 😂 While Sophie and Boyd are, in my opinion, the epitome of sizzle without the spice, Sophie has also spent nearly 30 years under the thumb of her narcişșist father. That's not something a person just "moves on" from in an instant.

So, while I absolutely adore this book and their journey together, know that it will be a roller coaster that veers left when you're yelling at it to go right. I hope you love it as much as I do in the end. ❤️
