We just received this note from our past Made in Manitoba guests The Janzen Boys. Hopefully we will see them soon in City of Winkler!

December 18th the Janzen boys are holding a concert at the Emmanuel Mennonite Church. Tickets are around $25 to $30 dollars and $5 from each ticket will go to support the Christmas meal. This meal serves around 500 people a Christmas dinner. Many of which may not receive any other Christmas meal.

Please consider purchasing tickets for yourself or as a gift and enjoy the wonderful music as well as support a great cause.

Small Wonders Community Nursery School - Due to extreme weather conditions we have canceled classes for today

Due to dangerous travel conditions, both NCC and PRCC will be closed Dec 18th.

Winkler Day Care Centre will be closed due to unsafe travel conditions.

Emerson Kinder College Inc. - closed due to dangerous travel conditions

Due to weather conditions Central Station Community Centre will be closed

Due to the weather conditions, all Lode King and Triple E RV plants are closed today, however the offices are open. Office staff who live in Winkler please report if it is safe to do so. Do not drive on closed highways/roads.

Elias Woodwork plants are closed this morning for day shift employees. As the weather improves, we will reopen the plants for employees to come to work.

Tri Koating will be closed today due to weather conditions.

Morden Premier Taekwondo classes are canceled for tonight.

Winkler Senior Centre meals are cancelled today due to weather. Volunteers please stay home and stay safe.

Blue Sky Opportunities Day Program and all transportation is cancelled for Thursday, December 18th. Day Program staff who can make it to work safely will be redeployed residentially (Managers will call with arrangements); The commercial departments (Woodshop and Service Shop/Recycling) remain open and staff are to report if safe to do so.

Due to poor road conditions, we have made the decision to cancel the Gateway Resources transportation for today. If you have any questions or need further updates, please contact the office directly at 204-325-7304.

Swamp Landfill will be closed till noon or weather permits staff to safely get to the site. Please call before coming to check our hours today.

Parkland School Grade 5-8 concerts were cancelled Wednesday evening (December 17th). Rescheduled for December 19th at 9:45am.
