I had the pleasure of writing the calligraphy for the place cards for Jacqueline and Arthur for their special day last fall and wanted to share ✨

I'm so happy with how they turned out. They featured a watercolor picture on the back of the venue, if you look close you can see the bottom Banner has their food choice.

I found myself easing my way into January 2024. I have been less motivated about posting recently and have been taking a step back and recharging this month.

This time of year can be hard for me, the lack of sunlight, cold weather, busy full-time work schedule and being a present parent.

If you are having challenges getting motivated this year, know that you're not alone and taking time to relax and show up when you feel recharged. It's just what your body needs sometime.

In the last few weeks I've been working hard at expanding my engraving skills to include glassware.

This week I made some personalized coffee mugs for some special teachers in my little ones life.

As school comes to a close here in Ontario this week don't forget to thank your teachers and support staff. 👐

I just love how the engraving shows up when filled with coffee.

One of my favorite things is to make handmade cards.

When I started doing calligraphy I used to make cards all the time. It was and still is often my love language to give something that I created myself.

Drawing everything by hand can be very time-consuming and feel like these days it's harder to fit it in. But making these cards filled my cup this week.

It makes me think about my business and sometimes just doing what you love 💕

I got this cool piece of live edge wood last year from my sister and brother-in-law and have been storing it and thinking for a long time what I wanted to make with it.

Then it came to me you need to make yourself something. 👏

The final result is this welcome sign. It is at the entrance of my home and if you ever do a porch pickup it's a little something to tell you hello.

Women supporting women.✨ I'm still riding on the positive energy from last weekend's community coffee content event.

I can't believe how good it was for my heart and my energy to get out and spend time in the positive energy of other women, chatting about our businesses and our struggles.

I haven't connected as much as I would like to with other local small businesses and this event filled my cup in ways I never thought I needed.

It was lovely to meet so many new faces. ✨

Blue Monday. 💙

The most depressing day of the year.

Make sure you take time today to give yourself grace and take it easy.

Move your body by taking a walk, exercising or getting out in the sunshine.

Read a book you love or in my case binge your favorite podcast

To add a little extra stress to the day I also have a sick kiddo at home today.
