I no longer had the labels, so I had to guess.

Well! I've got a maybe and a hard no, haha! ๐Ÿคฃ
And I think I also have the wrong shade of red ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Oopsie! I'm sure these colours will still make beautiful dishcloths.

On my walk the other morning, I stumbled upon an odd scene that I've never witnessed before.

Exhibit A: The scene of the crime.
Exhibit B: The prime suspect.
Exhibit C: The victim...?

I first spotted a lone feather falling from the sky. I looked up to see this little bird flying, it looked like it was grasping onto something with its little wee talons as it flew to a nearby power pole (see Exhibit D). I had assumed the lone feather was from this bird, and I had assumed that this teeny bird of prey had caught a mouse. So, I went to carry on my merry way and leave this little bird to his well-earned meal.

Well, it turns out, I had accidentally stumbled upon the scene of a crime!

When I had diverted my gaze back to the direction I intended to go, to my surprise and horror, there was a fluffy cloud of grey feathers descending from the sky. And that's when I realized that the thing in this little bird's claws was not a feral, disgusting rodent, but a cute little song bird.

On my way back home, I couldn't help but ponder the insignificance of the little bird that lost its life that morning. It is not mating season, it had no partner or family, it essentially had no ties to this world. And, in the grand scheme of things, in this vast world with countless other birds, its demise seemed to have zero impact on the rest of the planet. So, how big of a deal was it?

Well, to our mysterious, tiny hunter, this little bird could have been absolutely EVERYTHING. What if this was his first meal in months? What if he was on the brink of starvation? What if this is the only thing he will eat again for another few months? This bird was everything to this tiny hawk. It was a meal. It was life.

And then my philosophical brain went even deeper.

You may feel small and insignificant. You may feel invisible and like you don't matter, just as this little bird didn't seem to matter. But, in a world with nearly 8 billion people, don't you dare think for one second that you don't matter to at least one person.

I๏ธ promise you, you do.

You matter โค๏ธ

I was just sitting on my couch, laptop on my lap, going over our monthly expenses, trying to make the budget balance for what feels like the 100th time in the past 3 months. When just in the corner of my eye, I happened to see this little but of magical sunrise peaking through the window.

It felt like the universe was telling me something.

I went outside and captured this shot. And then I stood there and listened and observed and felt. I let the beauty in its simplicity wash over me.

It was phenomenal.

And when I went back inside a few minutes later and sat in that same spot on the couch and looked out the window, I could no longer see the image that had drawn me outside.

There's more to life than meets the eye, more beauty to behold.

Well, Bun-bun is off on an adventure!

This bunny basket is headed to Alberta today for my 19-month old niece. Who just happens to be my most favouritest human right now! She's literally the best! ๐Ÿ˜

Not gonna lie, I'm a little scared for Bun-bun, my niece is a little hard-core! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ’œ

I wish you luck on your next adventure Bun-bun! ๐Ÿ‡

Scrolling down memory lane... ๐ŸŒจ๏ธ๐ŸŒจ๏ธ๐ŸŒจ๏ธ

POV: December 2019! Our first winter at our current location. We got an obnoxious amount of snow in a ridiculously short amount of time. The kids did not complain! But man, that was a long winter, it seemed to go on for forever.

In stark contrast to this year.

I can't believe how warm it's been lately... Feels like I should be a lot further along with my gardening plans with the lack of snow and warmer weather we've been having in the Okanagan!

Spring is definitely springing! ๐Ÿ’ฎ๐Ÿ’ฎ๐Ÿ’ฎ

What's your favorite season? I would definitely have to say mine is Spring! I can't wait. ๐Ÿ˜

Kyle Cease is literally my favorite, just saying. ๐Ÿ˜

I didn't get a lot of work done since last Wednesday. The weekend was a bit crazy and then I got sick on Monday.

I've learned not to do much work while I'm sick because I always think I'm fine, but then I pick back up when I'm feeling better and... I definitely was NOT fine to be working while sick ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

I did get Bun-bun done, and it's just so dang cute! ๐Ÿ˜ My kids came home from school and instantly declared that they both wanted one.

I got about a row and a half completed on my daughter's blanket.

And I restarted this teal dishcloth after realizing I was indeed using the wrong sized hook ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ I wrote the correct hook size down now for future reference ๐Ÿ‘
