Since October 5, 1982 the Athabasca Advocate has been the voice of the greater Athabasca region. This award-winning weekly paper covers news, events, and sports from Smith in the north, to Boyle in the east and south to Rochester and every spot in between. We are driven by our community spirit and dedication to telling local stories that become part of the historical record of our citizens. Every

year we publish a community directory, a visitor's guide showcasing the amazing places to visit, stay, eat and explore across the region as well as the popular Christmas song book. We also offer printing services, faxing - both receiving and sending, and design booklets and pamphlets like the event booklet for the annual Canada Day event, the Magnificient River Rats Society music festival.
