An ode to my soul dog, Arwyn. I was so fortunate to have my very own luck dragon, wolf, fierce protector and mind reader. She’s the dog that taught Golden Boy no means no, gave Uly never ending cuddle puddles and Cali girl a true companion. She was the best of us. 🥹 love you, Whinnie, Winifred, Winnebago, wolfie.

Our Story

Alyssa chose a less conventional path as a photojournalist. Instead of chasing stories and photos in vast urban centres, she chose the sprawling lakes and rugged terrain of wild places. Although her focus is often shifted towards angling, Alyssa covers everything and anything in the outdoors including; hunting, paddling, camping as well as commercial work for lodges, resorts, tourism and experiential travel.

Alyssa is also the founder of Blind Casts, an interactive web series surrounding the trials and rewards of fly fishing.

As well as the founder of BushWoman Workshops. Outdoor workshops for women who want to create, learn more and acquire a sense of community in the outdoors. BushWoman is new as of 2018 and is quickly gaining traction with workshops focused on northern lights hunting, bushcraft, trapping, wilderness first aid as well as photography skills mixed with all things outdoors.
