Women’s Week at Grassy Narrows Lodge is fast approaching and I’m so sad I won’t make it this year.

Sacrificed a lot of northern adventures for a trip across the pond this spring and as cool as it was to see pieces of Europe— it sure makes you appreciate how incredible Canada is. Ontario alone is a province I could explore endlessly and never tire of.

I hope you ladies have an AMAZING week and I can’t wait to see the giant fish photos like the ones caught in 2024! 🤘

Our Story

Alyssa chose a less conventional path as a photojournalist. Instead of chasing stories and photos in vast urban centres, she chose the sprawling lakes and rugged terrain of wild places. Although her focus is often shifted towards angling, Alyssa covers everything and anything in the outdoors including; hunting, paddling, camping as well as commercial work for lodges, resorts, tourism and experiential travel.

Alyssa is also the founder of Blind Casts, an interactive web series surrounding the trials and rewards of fly fishing.

As well as the founder of BushWoman Workshops. Outdoor workshops for women who want to create, learn more and acquire a sense of community in the outdoors. BushWoman is new as of 2018 and is quickly gaining traction with workshops focused on northern lights hunting, bushcraft, trapping, wilderness first aid as well as photography skills mixed with all things outdoors.
