Just a clarification from our interview yesterday.

We wanted to take a moment to clear up any miscommunication from our radio chat yesterday on 97.7 Moose FM - CHMS where we mentioned the difference between rural transportation and that in larger centers and the impact on those who struggle to make ends meet. Rural poverty hits differently for those requiring food bank services. The challenges of distance are greater and wonderful services such as Bancroft Community Transit also face unique circumstances to meet the needs. We were intending for awareness of BCT's need for financial support so they can continue and perhaps even expand on what they offer. We did not say there was no public transportation in the area.
Our friends at BCT had some phone calls after our radio spot with concerns that public transit was no longer available. Please visit their website or call them directly to enquire about public transit and other services that are available. THERE IS A BUS. It may not run every 30 or 60 minutes in the same way as cities, but BCT works so hard to address the unique needs of our region. THANK YOU BCT!! 🙏☺️🙏

📣FALL CLASSES START NEXT WEEK!

We've got something for everyone this year, from ages 4 to adults! Classes begin in September and run until November. Taking place at the Bancroft Village Playhouse!

🪩 Music & Movement:
FOR YOUTH AGES 4-5
September 8th - November 10th (no class on Thanksgiving Monday, Oct 13th)
Mondays at 4:30pm - 5:00pm
Class fee per child is $80.00 for 9 classes

🪩 Kids Musical Theatre:
FOR YOUTH AGES 6-12
September 8th - November 10th (no class on Thanksgiving Monday, Oct 13th)
Mondays at 6:15pm - 7:15pm
Class fee per child is $90.00 for 9 classes

🪩 Kids Intro to Dance:
FOR YOUTH AGES 6-12
September 8th - November 10th, (no class on Thanksgiving Monday, Oct 13th)
Mondays at 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Class fee per child is $90.00 for 9 classes

🪩 Teen Musical Theatre:
FOR YOUTH AGES 13-18
September 9th - November 4th
Tuesdays at 5:00pm - 6:30pm
Class fee per child is $105.00 +HST for 9 classes

🪩 Teen Intro to Dance:
FOR YOUTH AGES 13-18
September 9th - November 4th
Tuesdays at 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Class fee per child is $90.00 + HST for 9 classes

🪩 Adult Dance:
FOR ADULTS 18+
September 9th - November 4th
Tuesdays at 7:30pm - 8:30pm
Class fee per participant is $90.00 + HST for 9 classes

Good morning good morning Moose Fans ! It's Chelsey in the Boyer GM Moose FM Summer Cruiser 😎

Happy Sunday Funday! I am hanging out at the Highland Grove Heritage Days!
BBQ, book/yard sale, live music (12pm-2pm/3pm) There is a firetruck here, take a walk around the schoolhouse and fall into Highland Groves past. Walk to the back of the community center and inside you will learn all about book binding and wool making! So cool! I wish that was taught in history class!

I will be hanging out here until 1 pm , this is your last chance to grab some swag! 😉

Effective August 29, 2025 the Fire Ban has been lifted in North Hastings.
This includes the following municipalities or townships.

Town of Bancroft
Municipality of Hastings Highlands
Faraday Twp.
Wollaston Twp
Tudor/Cashel Twp.
Carlow/Mayo Twp.
Limerick Twp.

We will be returning to no daytime burning restrictions from 7 AM to 7 PM.
Small campfires will be permitted after 7 PM however, no brush or yard waste should be burnt. Please continue to exercise caution when having a fire and extinguish your campfires.

For further information please consult your local municipal website for additional fire safety information and updates.

I am here at the Maynooth Morning Market which is going on till 3pm today.
Keep your eyes posted for the FB live 😉

We also have the Great Canadian Lumberjacks behind the market , live music, and their next show is at 1pm!! If you have never checked out this even it's definitely one to see !!

We also have the Faraday Fire Department having an open house from 11am -2 pm, with bouncy castles and auto extrication and of course Firetrucks !
