This Black History Month, we’re celebrating Black voices, stories, and histories at Barrie Public Library.

Explore our curated book lists, in-branch displays, and a variety of special programs and engaging events, there are many ways to discover, connect, and learn more.

📍 Downtown Branch
Join us with local author Roxann Whittingham for an arts-based Black History Month program.

📍 Painswick Branch
Learn more with Alinka Angelova at The Settlers of Oro program on Tuesday, Feb. 17 (7:30–8:30 pm), exploring the history of slavery in 1700s and 1800s Canada.
