What a day in Barry’s Bay! ☀️

We had such a great time at Bay Days earlier today, taking in the sidewalk sales, vendors, live music, classic cars, local businesses, and all the May long weekend energy on Main Street.

A big thank you to the Barry’s Bay BIA and everyone who helped bring the day together. It was so nice seeing the community out, catching up with familiar faces, and kicking off the weekend in such a fun, local way.

How ICONIC is this weekend forecast! It's about time we had a nice May 2-4. Hopefully the showers hold off for Bay Days! But I've heard that's part of the tradition 😉

EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE

The County of Renfrew has notified the Township that Highway 62 is CLOSED while the Madawaska Valley Fire Department fights a fire in the vicinity of the old ski hill. Please detour using Old Barry's Bay Road.

AVOID THE AREA and please pull over for emergency vehicles, including those with green flashing lights in their dash.

Madawaska Valley fire crews are battling a 65-acre bush fire off Hwy 62, now about 95% contained and expected to be out by this evening. No risk to the public.
