Chuck Negron, founding vocalist of Three Dog Night, has passed away peacefully at his home, according to today’s reports.

Born on June 8, 1942, Negron became one of the most recognizable voices of late 1960s and early 1970s American rock.
His powerful and emotional vocals defined timeless hits such as Joy to the World, Mama Told Me (Not to Come), and One.
As the lead singer of one of the most successful bands of the era, Chuck helped Three Dog Night bridge rock, pop, and soul, earning multiple chart-topping singles and a lasting place in rock history.

His voice, struggles, recovery, and legacy remain an important chapter of classic American rock music.
