Every level of government is responsible for providing disability supports and accessibility in different ways.

EVERY. LEVEL.

Don’t let them tell you otherwise and DO NOT let them pass the buck.

I will be forcibly removed from AISH and placed on ADAP on July 1st.

This means I will automatically lose a chunk of my only stable source of income — for no reason. I’m suddenly expected to be able work consistently (I made a total of $3400 last year) with a reduced threshold of what I am allowed to earn without punishment.

Physically, I am often considered a “worst case scenario” in terms of disability, and yet here we are.

Disabled Albertans need your solidarity more than ever.

Here’s a hard truth about disability issues in politics: money isn’t the problem, the devaluation of Disabled life is.

It costs more money, aka tax dollars, to implement and maintain harmful disability policy than it does to provide GOOD disability policy.

The numbers don’t lie—but people do.

idk who needs to hear this but Disabled people face countless barriers to advocating against those very same barriers and that’s... unacceptable and unjust
