BREAKING NEWS! According to the Grande Prairie Airport, Santa has officially been cleared to fly over Canada and is getting ready for his big night!

Kids — this is your friendly reminder to be on your very best behaviour, because Santa is watching!

Don’t forget to set out milk and cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer so they have the energy they need to deliver Christmas magic!

𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗲𝘀.

Transport Canada Civil Aviation has once again issued Santa’s Official Christmas Eve Exemption, authorizing the Sleigh 3000 (registration HO-HO-HO) to operate under special flight rules on December 24th. With eight certified reindeer and Rudolph approved for enhanced visibility, Santa is permitted to fly low, travel fast, land on rooftops, and keep every gift securely wrapped, all in the interest of a safe and magical Christmas Eve.

This exemption is valid from the moment Santa enters Canadian airspace until all deliveries are complete or sunrise on December 25, with NORAD tracking enabled to ensure safe passage across the country.

As we pause to reflect on Remembrance Day, I want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to the veterans and first responders who have dedicated their lives to protecting and serving our communities. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment remind us of the freedoms and safety we often take for granted.

As a past first responder myself, and someone who had family fight in both World Wars and who has friends currently serving in the military, I’ve seen firsthand the sacrifices made—not just by those who serve, but also by their families. To all who continue to serve, thank you for your dedication and your service. We remember and honor you.
