Did you know we do way more than weddings?
“Proof that LOVE wins.” 🥹

That's what was on the screen when Derek and Margaret danced together to “I Do” by Paul Brandt for their first dance at their 25th wedding anniversary celebration — their own wedding photo, bigger than life, projected for everyone they love to see.

We got to be part of that moment. As well as the moment when tears streamed down their face while watching the slideshow set to music their family had created highlighting their 25 years of marriage.

Setting up the projector and screen, running the slideshow , making sure the sound was perfect and the energy was right — that's what we do. Not just on wedding days, but on the days that remind people why they said yes in the first place.

25 years is worth celebrating properly. 🎉

If you've got someone in your life who deserves a moment like this — a milestone anniversary, a big birthday, a retirement — we'd love to help you pull it off.

We've been doing this in Grande Prairie and the Peace Region since 2009. We know how to make people feel something. 🙌

We see you. 😅 You opened Pinterest to look at centrepieces. Now you're 47 pins deep into “moody outdoor ceremony lighting,” you've saved three different monogram ideas, and somehow ended up on a board called “dreamy fog machine moments.”

No judgment. We've seen it. We enable it! 😂

Here's the thing though — all those inspo ideas you're saving? A lot of them are actually possible at your wedding!

Uplighting in your exact colour scheme? ✅
Monogram projected on the wall or ceiling? ✅
Low-lying fog rolling across the dance floor? ✅
Cold spark machines for that entrance moment? ✅

You don't have to just save it on Pinterest and dream about it. You can actually have it!

Absolute Entertainment offers a full list of add-ons that turn a regular reception into the wedding you've been pinning for months including cold spark machines, fog machines, bubble machines, custom color uplighting, and more! All these items can be added to your DJ booking with us.

📲 Curious what's possible for your date? Check out our add-ons at gpdj.ca or send us a message — we love talking through ideas.

Here's something nobody tells you when you get engaged...

Wedding planning is A LOT. 😅

One minute you're floating on cloud nine showing off your ring, and the next you've got a vendor checklist the size of a novel, a seating chart that feels like a puzzle, and someone asking you “have you booked your DJ yet?!”

And somewhere in the middle of all of it, you think — wait, am I behind?

Friend, let me stop you right there. 🙌

You are not behind. You are not failing. You are literally in the middle of planning the most epic day of your entire life — and that takes time, energy, and more than a few deep breaths.

Here's what we want you to remember when the overwhelm hits:

Every couple feels this. You are so not alone in the “where do I even start” spiral 💫
Progress over perfection. Checking off even ONE thing today is a win worth celebrating 🎉

*The details will come together. You don't have to figure it all out in one sitting
*Lean on your vendors. That's literally what we're here for — to take things OFF your plate, not add to it
*The chaos is temporary. The memories are forever. 🥂

Did you know that when you book us, you received a 6 page wedding planning checklist, a budget tracker, a budget 101 document, plus an article on how to plan a stress free reception? We like to help where we can!

When you're ready to check your entertainment off the list — your Wedding DJ, photo booth services, LED dance floor, and more are all right here waiting for you.

Let's make your wedding day everything you dreamed it would be! 💍

Wedding Tip! If you’ve been asked to help the bride with her dress on the big day, one of the most important jobs is making sure her train looks absolutely perfect before she walks down the aisle and for those unforgettable photos.

🎥 This quick video shows the proper way to fluff a wedding dress train so it lays beautifully and photographs exactly as it should.

It’s a small detail that makes a huge difference!

📌 Save this video, share it with your bridal party, or tag someone who’s been given the important job of “train fluffer.” They’ll thank you later! 😊

At Absolute Entertainment, we love sharing little tips that help make your wedding day as stress-free and beautiful as possible.

💕 Here’s to creating picture-perfect moments and memories that last a lifetime!
