Meet Ozzy! ❤️
Ozzy is a 2-year-old neutered male who was surrendered due to a change in his previous home’s lifestyle. The shelter environment was overwhelming for him, so he was placed in a foster home where he’s had time to decompress and show us his true personality.
Ozzy takes a little time to settle into new environments and isn’t a fan of sudden change. It took him about a week to feel comfortable in foster care and start seeking out attention. He’ll need a patient adopter who understands that building trust and comfort takes time.
Once he’s settled, Ozzy’s personality really shines. He’s affectionate, social, and full of character. He’ll greet you at the door, follow you around the house like a fluffy shadow, and serenade you when he’s hungry. His foster mom describes him as having “the soul of a lounge singer and the appetite of a linebacker.”
Ozzy likes to be up high and may choose a dresser or countertop for his naps. He doesn’t mind being picked up, and once comfortable, he may curl up next to you on the couch—or even in bed. He would enjoy having a feline companion around his age to play and lounge with, but young children (especially toddlers) might be too much for him right now.
Grooming is a work in progress. Ozzy has a long coat that will need regular maintenance. He’s not thrilled about brushing, but with time—or help from a professional groomer—it can be managed.
Ozzy hasn’t been tested with dogs yet, but this can be arranged with an approved application. He’s open to having a cat buddy and continues to grow more loving and confident each day.
If you’re looking for a sweet, quirky companion with lots of love to give (and an excellent snack radar), Ozzy might be your guy.❤️
