We’re kicking off our first market of the summer TOMORROW — Saturday, June 21 — at the Birdtail Country Museum Summer Market!

🌧️ With rain in the forecast, you’ll find us indoors at the CDC office on Main Street — cozy, and dry!

She Finally Has A Name!

But we’re so excited to introduce… GeeGee💛

This sweet little heifer, born to our Jersey cow Flora, already has a big personality and a touch of classic Jersey sass—just the way we like it.

Skip the Store-Bought! Make Your Own Cajun Seasoning with Everyday Ingredients 🌶

Did you know most store-bought seasonings contain hidden preservatives, anti-caking agents, and unnecessary fillers? 🤯 But here’s the good news—you DON’T need them!

With just a few simple pantry staples, you can mix up a bold, flavorful Cajun seasoning in minutes! No weird additives, just real ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.

- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cayenne
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Mix all the spices together, store in an airtight container and use in your favorite Cajun dishes.
