these views never disappoint 😍
✅SAVE this post for your summer planning
Cup and Saucer Trail — Manitoulin Island
🥾 12 km round trip, out & back
One of those hikes that makes the climb worth it to the incredible views over Manitoulin.
Ruby Lake Provincial Park — Nipigon
🌿 4 km, out & back
A bit of a drive and off-grid, but the climb is so worth it. Solitude, peaceful lake views, and a quiet escape from it all.
Helenbar Lookout — Elliot Lake
👀 7.2 km loop / out & back
Not a quick one, but the climb and winding forest trails lead to a lookout that makes the effort feel tiny in comparison.
The Crack — Killarney Provincial Park
🧗♀️ 6 km out & back
Challenging, rocky, and absolutely iconic, the climb is tough (and difficult for those with short legs lol), but the turquoise views at the top are next-level.
K**a Cliffs — Nipigon
⛰️ 4 km out & back
Quiet, underrated, and one of those trails that makes you stop and stare, literally. The opportunity to watch the train go by Lake Superior.
Robertson Cliffs — Goulais River
🪨 7 km out & back
What a view! Highly recommend hiking in the fall for all the colours. Offering a steady climb with multiple lookouts that somehow keep getting better as you go.
Nokomis Lookout — Lake Superior Provincial Park
🌲 4 km out & back
A shorter hike that brings you to a view that really shows off how massive and dramatic the Superior coastline is.
Aubrey Falls — Algoma County
💧 3 km out & back
More about the journey than the elevation, quiet forest paths, river views, and one of my favourite waterfalls
Top of the Giant — Sleeping Giant Provincial Park
🏔️ 22 km round trip, out & back
A full-day adventure, but one of the most iconic viewpoints in Ontario (start early and pack a lunch!)
Awausee Trail — Lake Superior Provincial Park
🍃 8 km loop
One of the hardest hikes in Lake Superior Provincial Park, but the views and sense of accomplishment are unmatched. Tough climb, epic payoff.
