If the only thing you take from this post is: âGreat, now I have to weigh every single bite and if I donât have a food scale Iâm screwedâ
âŚrespectfully, youâre taking it wrong.
Last time I posted something like this I was fighting for my life in the commentsđ so to be super clear here: I weighed these things for an experiment. I do NOT track this way day to day and I definitely am not perfect and have untracked bites!
It truly is unfair how easy it is to eat yourself back to maintenance, I hate it too, but I donât make the rulesđ
The point is not that you need to obsess over every crumb, crust, sprinkle, or bite.
The point is that whether you track them or not⌠theyâre still there.
And I see this all the time. Women working SO so hard.â¨Saying no to the burger bun.â¨Skipping the fries.â¨Choosing the lowest calorie option.â¨Trying to be âgoodâ all day.
But then there are little bites, licks, tastes, handfuls, and leftovers happening in the background that donât feel like eating. They arenât satisfying.
And sometimes those small moments are the difference between being in a deficit and sitting right back at maintenance.
This is about becoming aware of these things because once you can actually see whatâs happening, you can stop thinking youâre broken and make choices that actually match the goal you say you want.
