In Romans 6:16-18, Apostle Paul underscores the critical difference between being enslaved to sin and being devoted to righteousness. Without finding one's identity in Christ, a person remains a slave to sin, bearing its heavy burdens and enduring its guilt and shame, ultimately leading to spiritual death. However, Paul offers hope through Jesus Christ, who liberates us from sin's chains and transforms our hearts to align with righteousness. By accepting Christ, we are freed from our past and empowered to live a life of purpose, peace, and eternal hope. Embracing our identity in Christ means choosing daily to follow Him, allowing His love and truth to shape our thoughts, actions, and character. Today, we are invited to renounce the slavery of sin and embrace the freedom and joy of being slaves to righteousness, living as true heirs of salvation.
