Chapters of Us We had a beginning. A middle. And an ending. This is our book.

Yey! It's your birthday 🎉
Happy Birthday, Hubby.

I waited for this day.
I dreamed of laughing with you, of cake and candles and "us."
It was supposed to be our first.

But you're gone from my arms, and I can't celebrate with you.
The house is quiet today, and every happy memory aches a little more.
I keep reaching for you in my thoughts, and finding only the space where you used to be.

So today I'll celebrate you from a distance.
With tears and love and all the things I still wish I could say to you.

I pray you're happy.
I pray you're at peace.
And I pray that someday, forgiveness lives in your heart.

I miss you endlessly — in the mornings, in the quiet nights, in every song that reminds me of you.
A piece of me will always belong to you.
I love you, always.
Even now. Especially now.

"Don’t Say Goodbye Yet"

I still miss you.
God, I miss you in a way that sits in my chest
and makes it hard to breathe on ordinary days.
I miss the sound of you saying my name like it meant something.
I miss the way the world felt quieter when you were in it.

I don’t want goodbyes.
I can’t do goodbyes.
Because saying it means admitting this is over,
and my heart hasn’t caught up to that truth.
Every “goodbye” feels like I’m burying us alive
while I’m still holding your hand.

The nights are the worst.
That’s when the silence gets loud.
I replay everything — your laugh, your last words,
the way you used to look at me like I was home.
And I wonder if you ever think of me
the way I’m thinking of you right now.
With an ache that won’t let go.

I’m still hoping you’ll come back.
I know I’m supposed to be strong and say I’m fine.
But I’m not fine without you.
I’m hoping you wake up one morning and the missing hurts too much.
I’m hoping you realize that whatever broke us
is smaller than what held us together.

Come back even if you’re scared.
Come back even if you don’t have the right words.
We can figure it out.
I’d rather fight with you than be at peace without you.

So don’t ask me to let go.
Don’t ask me to call this the end.
Because I’m still here.
Still waiting.
Still loving you.
Still praying that one day you’ll walk back in
and I’ll get to say “I never stopped.”

I still miss you.
I don’t want goodbyes.
I’m still hoping you’ll come back.
