Behind every great story is someone who showed us how to see things differently. For a lot of us, that's dad.

Fathers tend to shape how we think, how we take risks, how we figure things out, usually without meaning to. You don't always notice it at the time. It just becomes part of how we work and how we treat the people around us.

World Environment Day is a reminder of how much there is worth protecting.

The natural world is full of places that are fragile, finite, and irreplaceable.

And as the pressure on those places grows, so does the conversation around how we experience them responsibly.

Immersive technology is one small part of that conversation. It gives people a way to connect with places, understand their significance, and care about protecting them. And that's something worth being part of.

Next week, our CEO Edouard Limon heads to New York City for Caribbean Week 2026, hosted by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) at the InterContinental Times Square.

On June 2, Ed will be facilitating a session for the CTO Nex-Gen program, "From Student to Professional: The Early-Career Playbook." The session is designed to help the next generation of Caribbean tourism professionals navigate the early stages of their careers, from personal branding and networking to building resilience in a fast-changing industry.

The Caribbean has been close to our hearts for a long time. Getting to contribute to the development of the people who will shape its future is a privilege, and we're grateful for the opportunity.

There's nowhere else on Earth quite like Nova Scotia's Bay of Fundy, or Pekwitapa'qek in Mi'kmaw.

Home to the highest tides in the world, the water here rises and falls up to 16 metres (52 ft) in a single day. At low tide you're walking on the ocean floor. Hours later, that same ground is completely underwater.

But beyond the geology and the tidal spectacle… for the Mi'kmaq people, these waters have been a source of life, culture, and story for thousands of years. Every river bend, rock, and tide carries meaning that has been passed down through generations.

Capturing that in VR while working alongside the Confederacy of Mainland Mi'kmaq meant spending real time standing on the basalt shores of Five Islands, watching the tide recede at Burntcoat Head, and understanding that we we're seeing isn't just any landscape.

This is the kind of experience that goes beyond what a camera can show, which is exactly why we do this work in VR.

Winged Whale Media is a Silver Winner at the 47th Annual Telly Awards, General Music Video category, for Causion Bailey 's "Tropical State of Mind!" 🏆

The Telly Awards is one of the most prestigious honours in video and television, judged by an industry council of over 200 experts across production, streaming, and broadcast. This year's program received entries from across the globe, and we're proud to be among the winners.

Working alongside Causion and his team, with the support of Elite Island Resorts, the goal was to capture the energy, culture, and spirit of the Caribbean through cinematic storytelling... and we had a lot of fun doing it!

In Causion's own words:

"From Antigua to the world, this Telly Award is a celebration of teamwork, island culture, and world-class storytelling. Congratulations to the entire Causion creative team on 'Tropical State of Mind,' and special thanks to our partners at Winged Whale Media and Elite Island Resorts for believing in the vision and helping us bring Caribbean energy to a global stage."

Alberta runs deep with forward-thinking people.

Last week, Winged Whale Media's Edouard Limon took the stage at the Economic Developers Alberta (EDA) Xperience Conference at the stunning Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, sharing how AI and XR are actively reshaping economic development, from community storytelling to workforce training.

The conversations that came out of that room were a reminder of why this work matters. Leaders, mayors, film commissioners, and economic developers all in one place, aligned on one idea: that immersive technology isn't a future concept, it's a present-day tool for building stronger communities.

As a proudly Canadian company, it means a lot to be part of these conversations happening in our own backyard. Seeing this kind of innovation and collaboration happening right here at home is exactly the kind of thing that drives us.

Congrats to the City of Lethbridge's Economic Development Lethbridge on their well-deserved recognition. And a big thank you to EDA for putting together an event worth the drive to the mountains.
