Hello Friends,
We have made it to that time of year when the days are short and the nights are long. This is a natural time for reflection.
We are grateful.
We are grateful for the food we have been offered and have shared. We are grateful for the community we have built. We are grateful for the help that has found us and for the help others have accepted from us. We are grateful for the community that you have made with us.
We are grateful.
We are grateful for the hard work of our staff and volunteers. We are grateful for our community partners that have found ways to work with us so that we may both be made better. We are grateful to those that
have used their voice to tell our story. We are grateful for the grace we have
been shown when we made mistakes.
We have just completed our 4th year of community service. Things have changed, we have learned so much and we feel like we know enough now to do more than we have done so far.
In our vision of a healthy community, everyone plays a role in their own and the entire community’s well being. You have made our success a shared success. You have participated in feeding yourself and your neighbours, not by acts of charity but by acts of cooperation.
2026 will bring some changes that we hope you’re going to love, but the important things will stay the same. We will continue to feed our community. We will continue to focus on dignified solutions to food security.
We will continue to grow our capacity to rescue food. But we will also add a
few new tricks to our repertoire.
This coming year we will grow vegetables and herbs year round.
This coming year we will have a commercial kitchen that makes meals.
This coming year we will work with you to build an even kinder
community.
This coming year we will make reasons to be grateful again.
