The Forge of Fury checks all the boxes for D&D. It literally has aD dungeons and a dragons in it. This module is for D&D 3E and is pretty deadly to say the least. If the roper encounter doesn’t get you, the dragon will! I have run this module a number of times. The dragon never dies and the players never all escape. It’s a lot of fun for players and DMs a like.

My son and his friends playing Call of Cthulhu for the first time tonight. My son is a first time Keeper and all players have never played before. They turned the lights down and they played through “The Haunting”. It ended with two players dead and another huddled in the corner insane. The house was filled with screams and laughter. I think some Call of Cthulhu fans were born here tonight.

If you’re a fan of Mörk Borg and Vikings this one looks really promising. Love the art and it’s jam packed with it. Can’t wait to dig in and start reading.

I think that Bruce Cordell’s “The Sunless Citadel” is to D&D 3E what “Keep on the Borderlands” was to D&D Basic.
1. Twig blights became an iconic low level monster
2. The Gulthias Tree is apart of D&D lore now
3. Everyone adopted Meepo into their party
A great low level dungeon ramp for any D&D campaign!

Birthright is one of Dungeons and Dragons’ most unique campaign settings-originally released by TSR in 1995, it lets players step into the roles of rulers, not just adventurers.
Build kingdoms, command armies, and wield divine bloodlines passed down from ancient gods. Your choices don’t just shape a story-they shape an entire realm.
Politics, warfare, diplomacy… this is D&D on a grand scale.
Did you command a realm?

Night Below, is a boxed set for Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2E published in 1995, and was written by Carl Sargent, with box cover art by Jeff Easley. Night Below is an adventure for first-level characters that will allow them to reach 14th level by the conclusion. An Underdark campaign where the drow are not the focus. It’s filled with maps, books and monster tokens. I started to run this campaign many moons ago, and my party TPKed at level 3. How far did you make it?

I’ve been taking another look at Tales of the Valiant from It’s basically 2014 D&D5E without the WotC baggage. I’m trying to find something that’s accessible to the 5E fan without giving me the moral dilemma of supporting a company that made it clear I was a problem. I’d love to hear any input you have on Tales of the Valiant.

The AD&D 2E Dungeon Master’s Screen came with the short adventure: Terrible Trouble at Tragidore(TTaT). This whole product was a bit of a let down. The 1E screen is covered in art and this one only has a single panel. Additionally, the adventure TTaT is a bit of a let down. Love that you fight drow elves, but there is little plot to support their presence. The general reception of the module was poor. I think this was a missed opportunity, even though the screen’s contents are very functional.

Want a hot take?

This is peak Dungeons & Dragons! A base system with numerous fantastic campaign settings from Ravenloft to Dark Sun. Thac0 wasn’t a fault, it was a way to separate the grain from the chaff. The Baatezu and Tanar’ri gave us the Blood War! It was rulings over rules, and epic art from Jeff Easley to

I think that got it right releasing many Bestiary Books (Monster Manuals). I think it’s one of the strong points of Pathfinder 1E. A Game Master can never have too many monsters to inspire them. Do you have a favourite cover? For me it’s a toss up with the original (Troll and Goblins) and the 4th (Star Spawn and Nosferatu).
