— We seek out movies created by minority groups and movies that bring tough topics to life.How do you decide which movies to review, and what criteria do you use to select the films you’ll be covering?

— 3 key areas: relevance and popularity, genre and audience interest, critical and cultural significance.Canadian FilmAs a team based in Calgary, what are your thoughts on the Canadian film industry, and how do you see it evolving in the future?

— We noticed that most film festivals had either creatives or industry attendees- we’re hoping to bridge the gap that film events are for everyone- movies bring people together. Canadian film is filled with some incredible cinema made by independent production houses and we want to welcome more communities into this space.Are there any specific Canadian filmmakers or films that you’re particularly excited about, and why?

— There are some exciting up and coming producers and directors coming up-!
