4 things I wish someone told me before I moved to Canada 🇨🇦

1️⃣ Get your SIN and health card in your FIRST week — everything else depends on them.
2️⃣ Stop converting prices to naira. Budget in dollars from day one, or you'll never buy anything.
3️⃣ Join your community associations early. In this country, connections open doors qualifications alone can't.
4️⃣ Save EVERY document — leases, payslips, stamps. Your future PR application will thank you.

The excitement is gone.

The motivation isn’t as loud.

Nobody is checking if you’re still going.

And that’s exactly where most people quit.

I’m learning that building a new life isn’t about having perfect motivation every day.

It’s about showing up… especially when nobody is watching.

Still here.

Some days, the motivation isn’t there.

You wake up already tired.
The to-do list is still waiting.
The goals still matter.
But your body is asking for a break.

Today is one of those days for me.

I’m learning that consistency doesn’t always look like being productive from morning till night. Sometimes, consistency is simply showing up anyway—even if all you can give is 20%.

So if today feels heavier than usual, this is your reminder that resting doesn’t mean you’re giving up. It just means you’re making sure you have enough energy to keep going tomorrow.

I’m still chasing my goals. Just at a slower pace today. 🤍

I’m about to spend the next couple of hours filming content—not because I have it all figured out, but because I’m committed to building something bigger than my fears.

A few weeks ago, I would have overthought every video.

Today, I’m reminding myself that progress is more important than perfection.

One day, I’ll look back at these quiet mornings, these small beginnings, and smile because this is where it all started.
