The Mercenary Co. team was at Game Con Canada with our client Dragonflygamestudio, checking out the new demo of Beyond The Oaks!

We are at Otafest this upcoming weekend. We have numerous panels:

Friday at 1:30pm Getting Started in Voice Acting. Sunday at 2:30 pm Interactive Radioplays and Voice Acting.

Brendan is running the Otafest Charity Auction on Sunday at 1pm. In addition, he is doing a talk about his experience in Voice Acting on Sunday at 4pm.

We have a table this year and will have prints for sale, as well as taking sign ups for lessons. Finally, we will also have a draw at the table for a free seat in an upcoming Voice Acting Class, but you have to be there to win it! Hope to see you there!

If you've ever thought of becoming a voice actor? Need some resources? WE GOT YOU! 🎙️ The Mercenary Co. studio is coming to Otafest 2025! 🎙️

The Mercenary Co. consists of local pro Voice Actors: Brendan Hunter, who has been voicing anime and video games for over 20 years, most notably in Hunter X Hunter (Hisoka), Dragonball (Tien Shinhan), DBGT (Uub), and much much more. Nancy Situ, is Otafest’s very own VA for “Seph” and known for Cardfight! Vanguard, etc. And Mike Anthony who started The Mercenary Co, is an accomplished writer and director, as well as a rising VA (Evolutis Duality).

They run a studio that is currently producing the VO for the “Beyond the Oaks” video game which was a part of Otafest 2024 closing ceremonies, due out soon.

You can come learn about voice acting from these working professionals, at their table, in panels or through workshop opportunities they make available in-person here in our Calgary Studio, as well as online and 1-on-1 coaching options.
