This time I tackle the rear brake setup on my 2021 Street Glide Special, installing the GBrake 11.8” wave rotor and pads. I go through the install process, fitment, and my first impressions once everything was buttoned up.

Today (Friday May 8th) we mark Victory in Europe Day, a moment in history that changed the world forever.

VE Day isn’t just a date. It’s a reminder of the courage, resilience, and sacrifice of the Greatest Generation. Men and women who stood up in the face of unimaginable adversity, who fought not for recognition, but for freedom, for all of us.

Many never came home. Many carried the weight of that war for the rest of their lives. What they gave wasn’t just for their time, it was for every generation that followed.

We owe it to them to remember. To tell their stories. To honour their legacy not just with words, but by living in a way that respects the freedom they secured, especially with how the world is today.

Lest we forget.

A huge shoutout to my friend Bruce Fraser, and his mate Grant Stewart who are taking on the “Saltire Challenge” in Scotland in support of veterans and the incredible work being done by Royal British Legion Scotland Riders Branch Voices For Veterans.

Between June 26th–27th they’ll be riding over 1,000 miles across the four corners of Scotland, Cape Wrath, John O’Groats, Berwick and Stranraer via the Wallace Monument, all to raise money for veterans.

Challenges like this are about more than just the miles. They’re about supporting those who have served and continuing to stand beside the veteran community.

For a lot of veterans, motorcycles are far more than just machines.

They’re freedom.
Therapy.
Purpose.

When military life ends, nobody really prepares you for the silence that comes after years of structure, brotherhood, and mission-focused living. That transition can be harder than most people realise.

But out on the road, something changes.

The noise in your head fades.
The stress eases.
And for a few hours, it’s just you, the bike, and the horizon.

Riding gives many veterans something familiar again ,focus, community, and a reason to keep moving forward one mile at a time.

Some people see a motorcycle.
Veterans often see healing.
