A Calgary police officer has just been charged with TWO counts of second-degree murder — not a headline you hear every day in YYC. 👀

The incident?
📍 Memorial Drive, May 2023
What started as a slow pursuit of a stolen cube van ended with two men fatally shot by CPS officer Craig Stothard.
Now, after a lengthy ASIRT investigation, he’s facing extremely rare criminal charges for a serving cop.

One victim was from the Goodstoney First Nation. His family waited 2 years for this moment — and say it’s only the beginning.

So here’s the real question:
👮‍♂️ Are police here to protect us… or are we protecting ourselves from them?
🧠 Is justice finally being served, or is this just smoke and mirrors?
