5 things the middle class may struggle to afford in the next 5 years…

And honestly… number 6 is the one that scares me the most.

Number 1 — A home in the neighbourhood you actually want.

Number 2 — A brand-new vehicle without taking on a huge payment.

Number 3 — Vacations without putting them on a credit card.

Number 4 — Healthcare, dental and all those “little” expenses that keep getting bigger.

Number 5 — Retirement.

Because for a lot of people, retirement is getting pushed further and further away.

But number 6…

Number 6 is TIME.

The one thing you can never get back.

We can always make more money.

We can buy another car.

We can move to a smaller house.

But you can’t buy back the years you spent working when you wanted to be living.

That’s why I’m focused on building another income stream now.

Not because I want more stuff…

I want more freedom.

Nobody talks about grieving the life you thought you’d have by now.

It’s not dramatic.

There’s no funeral. No announcement. No one bringing casseroles.

It’s just this quiet ache that shows up on random Tuesday afternoons.

When you’re folding laundry and you realize this isn’t quite how you pictured it.

When you’re at a family dinner smiling and laughing and somewhere underneath it all something just feels… off.

When you scroll past someone living the life that was supposed to be yours and you have to put your phone down.

You’re not ungrateful.

You’re not bitter.

You’re just grieving something nobody gave you permission to grieve.

The marriage you thought would last.
The retirement you thought you’d have by now.
The version of yourself you were so sure you’d become.

And the hardest part?

You’re doing it alone. Quietly. While still showing up for everyone else.

And that’s okay. Not everyone is ready.

Nobody warns you about the day your kids don’t need you the way they used to. ❤️

For years, being needed gave me purpose.

Honestly, that question can feel uncomfortable when you’ve spent decades putting everyone else first.

Here’s the truth I keep seeing…

But what if you don’t want to spend the next 10 years just waiting?

What if you want more freedom NOW?

More time.
More choices.

More experiences.

And I get it.

You might want more… but you’re scared.

Scared you’ll fail.
Scared people will judge you.
Scared you’re starting too late.
Scared you’ll waste your time.

I understand.
