MY STORY
I began this journey in 1992 without a father. My mother fled to Ethiopia with my siblings, and I was left in the care of my grandmother Nyichuol Both Duop Deng — who died a year later in 1993. From then on, life tested me harder than most men will ever dream.
But my aunt, Nyipuuch Kuon, and my uncle, John Chuol Kuon, shaped me differently. My uncle refused to let my emotions belong to the world. He taught me to hold my power inside, to be unshakeable, to act as if nothing could move me. Because he knew that if the world controlled my emotions, it would also control my destiny.
So I learned early:
stillness in chaos is strength.
I have lost more than many men have prayed for, and I have failed more times than I can count — but every failure became a lesson, every pain became a weapon, and every loss whispered, “Stand up again.”
People call me a giant — but the truth is simple:
I am just a child trained to walk through fire without flinching.
My vision burns hotter than the flames.
When South Sudan went to war in 2013, I lost everything again. But my uncle, James Wakow Kun Kong, and his wife, Mary Nyakume Jock Nguany, stood by me. They told me, “We will work as a team to resuscitate your career.”
And in August 2014, I roared like a lion with — the turning point.
In 2015, we released .
In February 2016, I roared again with , and the world opened. I took flights for shutdowns, hit after hit, stage after stage, year after year.
In May 2023, I married my lovely wife, Nyachangkuoth Pal Chang, and she transformed my life. Together, we became born again.
Early this year, on March 7th, I lost my brave mother during the Nasir fighting. The Seventh Day Adventist congregation, my family, and my friends held me up — but the truth is, I was already raised strong.
In July, I went on with PiethNeKeel Media. After the tour, I roared again with .
And through all of it, I ignored the noise —
because silence is the medicine that noise makers deserves.
I have trained my mind to hold the image of who I am becoming, even when life tries to shake my foundation. I disciplined my emotions, guarded my energy, and anchored my purpose.
When someone offends me, I answer with clarity.
When challenges rise, I move with calm.
When I act, I act with unbreakable intent — not because I am numb, but because I am focused.
Nothing outside of me is stronger than the decisions I make within me.
And when the world cannot shake me, it has no choice but to follow me.
I am WangNath.
