Update: Attorney General Bob Ferguson Launches Investigation into Amazon's Handling of Abdou Express business dealings.

SEATTLE WA - The office of Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson is officially investigating Amazon.com in response to a complaint filed investigators. Abdou Express, the largest supplier of medical masks during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Amazon mishandled and subsequently lost several pallets of critical medical masks sent to their fulfillment centers in early 2020. Despite being directed by Amazon to file claims for the missing shipments, AbdouExpress faced an account suspension in December 2020 after following these instructions. This suspension has left the company unable to operate on the platform and has resulted in Amazon holding a significant amount of AbdouExpress's funds.

"We are grateful for Attorney General Ferguson's attention to this urgent matter," said a spokesperson for Abdou Express. "As one of the largest suppliers of medical masks on the planet in 2020, the mishandling and loss of our shipments by Amazon had a substantial impact not only on our business but also on the availability of essential protective equipment during a critical time."

Attorney General Ferguson's office is committed to thoroughly investigating these allegations and ensuring that fair business practices are upheld. This investigation aims to address the concerns raised by Abdou Express and determine the appropriate course of action to resolve the issue.
